Running is how I get my adventure-fix.
I shared that yesterday when I posted my Nuun Hood To Coast essay. For me, running goes beyond getting a medal around my neck or being able to wear shorts in the summer. What keeps me going most of the time is the unknown of what I might see on my run, or meeting up with a new running buddy (or catching up with an old one), or finding out if my legs want to go fast, or taking a new route, or figuring out how to get my run done between household, mommy and job duties.
It’s all just one big adventure. And I think if more people thought of exercising in this way (as an adventure), more people would stick with it. Hmmm. I wonder if I thought about writing as an adventure, then maybe I’d get my novel/memoir/something done?
Well, I will be getting an article done! In fact, I’m so very excited (and feel honored) to write more about how running is an adventure for a brand new online magazine called Sparrow Magazine dedicated to “inspiring deliberate living.” My yet-to-be-written article is scheduled for the debut issue coming out in September. Meantime, head over to www.sparrowmagazine.com and check it out. You can also “like” Sparrow Magazine HERE on Facebook and follow them on Twitter, HERE.
You might recognize one of the editors, so stop by and congratulate her on her new adventure!
How do you find adventure in your life?

Congrats on the opportunity! That's really exciting!
So exciting! Thanks for this, Kerrie!
right on kerrie! I'm looking forward to reading your article.
I've recently been trying to figure out what my next adventure is, so…I don't know.
That is great! And, I love your application for Team Nuun H2C…it's excellent!
Congrats on your new opportunity! I'm not sure what my next adventure is. We were planning on backpacking the Tetons next month, but a friend told us that there is still enough snow for skiing, so we need to figure out a new adventure. *sigh*
