Day 122: Feeling Special

  • Kerrie

I didn’t actually do any running today. But I did do a lot of running around.

After T Junior’s breakfast, I set the Roomba free in the kitchen, and then me and my little shopping buddy did some damage at Safeway. We came home just in time for a nap. Not for me, though. I had to make dinner! That’s right. I was making dinner at 11:30 this morning so it could cook all day in the crock pot. I cooked! (Sort of.)

While T Junior napped, I cleaned out the refrigerator, put groceries away and mopped the kitchen floor. I definitely felt like I burned some calories, but then I ate the leftover “chicken candy” for lunch (aka orange chicken). After T Junior’s nap and some food for him, we were off to do some Christmas shopping.

I’m absolutely wiped out! T Junior went down for a short nap, so I have a couple minutes to catch up on blogs. Speaking of blogs, a huge THANK YOU to Zoe at Run, Zoe, Run for featuring me on her blog today! You can read my “Runner Profile” here. I feel so special! Thank you, Zoe!

Tomorrow, I may try to run during my lunch hour. I haven’t decided yet. But I will be bringing my new rain jacket from REI with me. If I run in it, there’ll be a review, of course.

As for tonight…I’m just glad dinner is almost done.

You're Monday sounds a lot like my Monday. At least you go into the week with a fridge full of groceries & a clean kitchen floor!

OK you had me with the Manteca comment on my blog lol. You had a pretty productive day and you cooked. Me, we went out to dinner. Ugh, I hate cooking. Have fun with Tall Mom tomorrow!

I swear that mopping should be considered a sport! Dude, I'm sweating after mopping the downstairs floors! (Well, I guess it's kind of like curling?) So what did you cook in the crock pot? I'm thinking of trying that someday…cooking, or the crock pot. :)And you deserve to be in the spotlight, Kerrie! Yay!
