I went for a 30-minute walk after T Junior was snug in his bed. It’s hard not to be snug when it’s close to 80 degrees in your bedroom.
But it was cooling off when I left the house at about a quarter to 8. A slight breeze and a setting sun made it pleasant.
Until I turned the corner directly into a fast dry wind.
It burned my eyes so much, I could hardly keep them open. Tear drops streaked my cheeks as I tried to rub the sting away. The red glowing sun sitting just above the houses in my neighborhood only made it worse. I had to strategically choose sidewalks in order to walk with the wind.
But I’m not complaining because it’s below 90 outside and it’s only supposed to be 70 at noon tomorrow. Yay! The Seattle weather I know and love is coming back!
I’m looking forward to a 3-miler. I just hope T Junior can stay awake for the whole thing.
