What did I do to get ready for the half walk at the North Olympic Discovery Marathon on Sunday?
Pretty much nothing. I got a cold on Thursday night, so I wasn’t feeling great. It’s not a horrible one, but there’s a dry cough that starts to hurt after a while.
But I did get outside in the sun to play with T Junior. He got a little plastic golf set, and since he walked up to me two days ago and said, “I wanna pay golf,” I figured Saturday was as good a day as any (well, better since the sun was out).
Then we gave him the baseball tee he got and let him swing the bat. Turns out he’d rather pitch to me than hit.
That night I realized I had to get all my stuff together for the half on Sunday. I ran around printing directions, laying out clothes, locating BodyGlide. It still didn’t hit me that I had a half on Sunday till I had to set my alarm clock for 3 a.m.
Recap coming soon!
