On Being Proud: Before and After

September 24, 2011 · half marathons

I think it’s safe to say I’m still floating on my sub-2 PR from Sunday’s half. I’m proud of myself and I’m not afraid to say that I am. The old me might’ve been afraid to. The new me is shouting it from the rooftops.

2011:

Here are my stats:
You Go Girl! Half Marathon
Official Final Time: 1:52:19 (Recap)
Average Pace: 8:34
Overall Place: 55/625
Division (F30-34) Place: 11/100

2010:

2010 Stats from the Mercer Island Half Marathon
Official Time: 2:14:02 (Old PR Recap – March 2010)
Average Pace: 10:14
Overall Place: 1,705/2,141
Division (F30-34) Place: 161/230

…same hat, though…

Congrats again! Question – I know you did the run/walk method for your marathon, are you still doing it? If not, have you noticed anything different pain wise?

That's a great time for a half! Awesome job. Don't you love it when running more helps get that time down?

This post makes me smile!! I'M PROUD OF YOU!!So I've got 6 wks until my next Half Marathon (I'm obsessed with getting the sub-2 before 2011 end!) Have you posted your training plan anywhere that you used for the YGG and your sub-2?? I know I need to hit up the speed intervals more, but I'm curious as to the details of your training… if you don't mind sharing…
