I love running at Point Defiance, so the Point Defiance 15K has been on my radar for at least a month. The race is in mid-October. Can’t wait. I also have a few friends that will be running it. Should be a great time!
Today, I wanted to run just to get my legs moving, but it was so darn hot–close to 90 degrees. (I didn’t get up early enough to run because our neighbor had a party and I had too many sangrias.) I rode my bike on my trainer instead: 8.8 miles in 40 minutes.
Tomorrow, I start a training plan for the 15K. It’s a half marathon plan that I’m altering a little based on the book “Run Faster from the 5K to the Marathon.” I’m not completely sold on the plan. The idea is to create your own plan, but ain’t nobody got time for that.
I’m supposed to run 3 miles easy tomorrow with 3 8-second steep hill sprints. Better get to bed….
