She stuffed them in her mouth all at once.
It was so sad.”
When I first moved to the Seattle area, I lived alone. Technically, I had a roommate, but she was in the police academy and would often stay there. I worked in a newsroom as a lowly copy editor and didn’t make very much money. So, there’s my excuse for what I am about to tell you.
For dinner, I sometimes had a fishbowl-sized glass of red wine and half a loaf of French bread.
You probably will not be surprised to learn I put on about 50 pounds my first year in the real-world. That was basically when I started really being overweight. I had been active through my school years, but I was totally lost out on my own.
I know I’ve had many poor eating choices, but that one sticks out in my mind. It was the start of some really unhealthy habits and it makes me sad and ashamed when I think about it.
So, here’s your challenge this week: CONFESS! What was your worst eating moment? Post your story on your blog. If you don’t have a blog, share it in the comments section below.
Want to join us in the Summer of Weight Loss? Here are the past challenges, in case you want to catch up:
Produce Love
Take before pictures (front and side)
Pick a weigh-in day
Take your measurements
And don’t forget to send me an e-mail to let me know you want in! (kerrie at sanitydepartment dot com)
Some SOWL Housekeeping:
-Produce Love Challenge: Did you do it? I’m behind, but I did get to a new fruit. Read about it here.
-Originally, I had planned on posting your weight each week here at MvM, but that is virtually impossible for me to keep up with (a very good thing, indeed). I love getting updates from you, though, so please keep e-mailing me about your progress! I just won’t be posting it – I’ll leave that up to you, since most of you have blogs.

shoot i'm seeing some hot ladies names in that list, what weight are they trying to lose :)Hmm worst eating moment, i'll really have to ponder that..does a daily cookie count?
That sounds pretty tasty to me. ;)I'm not technically a participant, but I'll post my confession here. One summer, I ate (almost) nothing but grapes. It was after my first year of high school, I was overweight and very troubled about it. I thought this was the solution. It worked… but I got soooo sick.
You could do a google spreadsheet so everyone could put in their weekly weighins……with all your free time and all :)You could make it public so all one needs is a link.
Great job ladies, keep up the good work.So lovely you can all be accountable to each other.
oooh now i have something to post about tonight…funny ive actually been regaling my college eating days to my little brother since hes headed off to college soon and i want him to gain weight..lol.
I really should officially join you. But for the life of me I cannot find my tape measure. I used the Caveman's metal one the other day to measure my calf…moo. Where there's a will there's a way.
Oh oh oh. Is it too late to joint? I'm in my third wk of a weight loss challenge with the hubs. I've been a bad bloggie friend lately. I mustve missed the sign up post. My worst diet confession is my drinking in college. I went out 5 nights a weeks. That's a lot of empty calories.
My worst was eating a bag of doritos with a loaf velveeta cheese for dinner. My 14yo daughter is at camp. She said the “boys” had a grilled cheese eating contest. The “winner” had 26, just short of the camp record of 28. 28 is amazing.
Whole boxes of mac and cheese with fish sticks. Also, when I was pregnant (that's my excuse), I downed 24 bagel bites. My husband was amazed.
In a total funk due to pre-Boston illness, I ate an entire bag of chocolate Easter Bunnies and…to top that little treat off, I ate an entire bag of Jelly Belly's. Yep, 5000 lbs of sugar and as many calories in about an hour. Can I just say I'm in a funk right now, too, and my weight is stuck. Err. Taper time for SF…that's my excuse. Hehe. Is there an ending date for this thing?
yes…there are some fit gals on this list. wishing you all dertermination and will power. HUGS!
P.S. Ate a entire pot of tuna casserole when I was PG. It was soooooo goood!
that is too funny. sounds like my kind of dinner! i am soo not trying to accomodate being a grownup… i tend to eat cereal or chips for dinner. so lazy.i guess my low points are when i sit and mindlessly eat an entirely bag of m&m's/carton of ice cream… :-/
nice postyou can get more information on weight loss with natural ways here –know here ! how you can looks more beuaty than everThanks
What a great idea! I used to do the whole fishbowl of wine…I may still…haha. We have wine wednesday. Prob should stop that.
Oh boy, so many to name…I'll have to think of one.

Hmmm….I may still have that fishbowl of wine! Haha. In college we would go to the bars and when we got home we each would have half of a large pizza! It was soooo bad, I dont even want to think of the calories! My guilty pleasure now is Sour Patch Kids. I count it as a “free” food, but it is loaded with sugar!
Is it too late to join up… I think i need this after this past week of eating all the crap in my house !!
Finished this challenge here! I'm catching up with the challenges. It definitely motivating, keep them coming!
