I’m pissed.
No, really pissed. Spittin’ mad (I’d say if I were in the 1960s version of The Parent Trap). So mad I skipped my workout Friday morning.
Harrumph.
So there.
Anyway, I worked really hard this last week. I practically knocked myself out with the Abs, Arms, Legs Challenge, sticking to my running schedule (which means getting up really early), cross-training with pickleball…and, yeah, I wasn’t keeping track of my food, but I was paying attention to it and eating the portions and things I usually eat when I lose weight. I was good, dammit!
And what did I lose this week?
NOTHING. I GAINED POINT-TWO POUNDS!
What the hell? Okay, I know it’s barely even a quarter of a pound, but still. The point is to LOSE weight, not maintain, not gain.
And, right, I didn’t write down my food or really keep track of points, and there was that batch of biscotti I made, and the gift basket of peanut brittle we received at work, and someone may or may not have brought Cranberry Bliss Bars in to the office…
Hmmmm. Okay, new plan: This coming week, I’m going to lighten up on the workouts a little. Not that they were extra strenuous or anything, I’m just not going to work as hard at fitting them in. (Don’t worry, I won’t be skipping any runs.) But I AM going to be extra diligent about what I eat, how much and the Weight Watchers points.
Let’s see what happens.

Sorry about that – I really hate those weeks…. seen too many of them myself.Chin up!
So frustrating!! This is the worst time of year too. I think if you can maintain through the holidays then you are about a jillion steps ahead of me!!!! PS love the new header! You're so crafty!
the scale is going up for me too…
If it's less then half a pound either way, it's the same as maintaining in my world. ;)Sounds like you have a good week planned.
I'll trade ya. It's been that kind of week for me as well…only worse.
Peanut Brittle gets me everytime too! Kerrie I think you are doing awesome! Keep the Faith, girl!
Thanks guys.
so frustrating. hope this week goes better for you!
Are you sure it isn't muscle?
Well, no. Hadn't thought of that. 🙂
weight increases or plateaus aren't a bad thing. They are what they are and help our bodies figure out their way to level…cheers on your journey.
Grrr! Water retention?
Be patient and don't give up!!!
